Why Sfumato?
The Italian word Sfumato means "smoky" or "hazy." Developed during the Renaissance, this painting technique uses subtle shading to create a sense of depth and mystery. In interior design, the goal of sfumato is to construct environments that engage your visual senses on multiple levels.
